Tatsuya Nakatani is an avant-garde sound artist, composer, and master percussionist. Using bowed gongs along with an array of drums, cymbals, and singing bowls, Nakatani creates deeply physical sound worlds. Within his contemporary work you can still hear the dramatic pacing, formal elegance, and sense of space (ma) rooted in traditional Japanese music.
Cor De Lux is a 4-piece band from North Carolina known for their dual-guitar interplay with added garage rock energy, jazz, and avant-garde elements. The four create what comes natural — a rhythm-anchored, abstract sound loaded with angular chords and riffs.
In 2025 the band toured as direct support for BRNDA and for two of Superchunk’s Southeast dates. In 2023 they were direct support on part of Pile’s East Coast tour. Since 2022 they’ve been a strong force in the North Carolina scene, opening for Sweeping Promises, Archers of Loaf, Omni, Cola, and Blondshell.
