PONS brings its high-energy electronic dance punk to State College! Led by Jack Parker, PONS draws from the sounds of Iggy Pop, Suicide, LCD Soundsystem, and Crystal Castles, combining driving electronic beats, angular punk, and glam rock theatrics into an explosive live performance. Known for relentless DIY touring, PONS has shared stages with Gogol Bordello, Lambrini Girls, Laura Jane Grace, Geese, Vundabar, and A Place To Bury Strangers. Their album Heavens to Peter was released on cassette via Dedstrange Records, the label founded by Oliver Ackermann (A Place To Bury Strangers).
Joining them is Chicago's Axis: Sova, a trio blending post-punk, psychedelic rock, and noise with fuzzed-out guitars and infectious hooks. Described by Pitchfork as "like The Stooges riding shotgun on a Suicide track," the band recorded their 2023 album Blinded By Oblivion with Ty Segall producing. Their brand-new album Flowerage was recorded at Electrical Audio with Cooper Crain (Bitchin Bajas) and released October 23.
